This set of terms is a draft and is pending legal review. It describes how the service is meant to work today. It is not legal advice and will change before it is final.
What Entity.ID does.
Entity.ID is a registry. It lets you form a Super Entity, keep its record, add verified members, adopt a constitution, run a treasury and fundraising, and incorporate as a Delaware or Wyoming company when you choose to. The Registrar SDK and Verify API are in private preview and may change.
What it does not do.
Entity.ID is not a law firm and does not give legal, tax or financial advice. Forming a Super Entity is not the same as incorporating with a state. Whether and where to incorporate is your decision.
Your account.
You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. Keep it safe and tell us at security@entity.id if you think someone else has used it.
Truthfulness.
What you put on a record must be true. A record with false members, ownership or rules may be marked as disputed or removed from good standing.
Public by design.
Entity records are public. By creating or changing a record you agree that the entry and its history are visible to anyone.
Changes and history.
Members can change a record according to its constitution. Past versions stay visible. We do not edit records on request except to correct our own errors.
Availability.
We aim to keep the service running at all times and publish its status. We do not promise it will never be interrupted.
Liability.
To the extent allowed, we are not liable for losses from using the service, from relying on a record, or from a decision to incorporate or not. A final version of this section will be set with legal counsel.
Changes to these terms.
We will post changes here with the date they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept them.
