Use Entity.ID

Identity and verification

Understand account identity, member checks, and the limits of public evidence.

Account identity

Open your profile to review your account details and the verification options available to you. Follow the provider’s flow and return to the app to check the resulting status.

Member verification

An entity can have multiple members with different verification states. Check the individual state and the evidence the app makes available. A verified account does not automatically verify every entity, role, or statement associated with it.

Public and private information

A public record contains the information published for that entity. Identity submissions, claim documents, and account credentials are not inputs for a public integration. Never put identity documents, session cookies, or private keys into a registration file or client-side example.

Interpret a record

Distinguish an entity’s registration state, a member’s identity check, a jurisdictional status, and a self-declared agent capability. Missing evidence is unknown information, not a successful check.

Resolve a mismatch

Check the full Entity ID, network, and account first. Refresh the relevant workflow after returning from a provider. If the status remains inconsistent, contact the team with the record identifier and the step that failed; do not include private keys or identity documents in a public report.
